Kindersingers is offered in semesters to allow flexibility with our program. Semesters run September - December and/or January - May. Register for one or both semesters! The choice is yours.
The KinderSingers program is designed to get young children excited about choral music. Using educationally-based singing games, folk songs, and team-building activities our youngest singers develop a basic understanding of their musical and vocal abilities and how to use these skills in a choral context. Throughout the choral season, the KinderSingers are featured in three major choral productions. The highlight for many is our Christmas concert in the Winspear Centre.
All of our conductors are musicians of the highest quality and employ Zoltán Kodály’s teaching methods, resting on the understanding that only the best education is good enough for children.
We are pleased to be offering two KinderSingers classes, one in Edmonton and one in St. Albert. While the KinderSingers rehearse separately, they perform as one large ensemble. We believe this gives choristers both the comfort of learning in a small classroom environment and the security that comes with performing with a large ensemble.
