Invocation takes its name from the title track by Edmonton composer Margaret King (who is also featured on the recording at the piano). The disc features other Canadian works, a selection of English madrigals, Brahms’s richest-scored work for female voices, and a Missa ferialis drawn from Miklós Kocsár’s Missa in A. Also featuring Nora Bumanis, harp; and Gerald Onciul and Mary Fearon, horns.
